Little Blue Colander

As soon as I saw her with this colander, I knew exactly what she was going to do with it so I ran and grabbed my camera.

thinking about how to squeeze this cute little body into that little blue colander

Here it goes...

Whoops, it's moving on me, can't have any of that.

 almost got it...

  Success!

I'm pretty proud of myself for being able to squeeze into this thing!

my legs are starting to fall asleep, time to change positions...
ah, much better!

Ok, I think I am done with this

time to somehow get out....

concentrate...
standing up using just your legs is hard work.

and done!!
time to ham it up for the camera!

Sesame Street

We had dinner with Grams last night and she passed this gem down to Elsa.

(please excuse the patches of paint on our walls- who ever said picking out a paint color was easy...lied)

It was originally her Great Unlce Michaels (30 some years ago).  Alex spent many hours playing with it as a kid and I am sure his brothers and sister did as well. E loves it. She has spent the morning playing with it.

Grandpa and E

My dad came to visit (okay, more like help us with the basement, but we did get some visiting in too!) over Super Bowl weekend.
I was holding E when my dad arrived, but as soon as she saw him she reached for him. I handed her over and she did this....

She wanted to be held by him a lot and each time he did, she would just lay on his shoulder or she would snuggle up to him on the couch and just hang out with him- it was really sweet.

She had a fun weekend playing and snuggling with Grandpa!

February's a busy month around here

This past week we celebrated two birthdays and  of course Valentine's day. We enjoyed lots of good food, gifts, games, and good time spent together.

I got this beauty for my birthday- Never did I think I would be so excited to get a freezer for my b-day, but it was exactly what I had been wanting and will be so helpful. Our freezer in the kitchen hardly holds anything.

We've been wanting some more board games, so Alex got us Settlers of Catan. The Warczaks, our neighbors in SLC loved this game and they are pretty fun so we figured it would be a good one to learn.

Oh and I need to give a shout out to Julia and her friend Megan who spent their Friday night with E so we could go out. Thanks!

We had a delicious (if I say so myself-it was my first time making them) crab cake dinner with individual molten lava cakes for dessert.

Alex's Birthday was Yesterday and so we decorated (though the balloons were mostly for E, she loves them) and made a yummy dinner.

Elsa was just a little bit excited!

Four cheese white lasagna and mint cookie crunch pie

Elsa loved this card at target...it meows happy birthday. She thought it was so funny. So she had fun looking at it with Alex. Then all of the sudden she started crying and now every time she opens it or hears it she gets a smile for a split second and then gets really upset. I guess she is kinda scared of it!

 Happy Birthday Alex!

Table, Chairs, and an Orchid

E came downstairs this morning and went straight to her table and chairs....she much prefers them over her highchair. It doesn't seem to bother her that she gets all tangled in them every time she tries to get down, which is often since she likes to switch chairs every few minutes it seems!

Elsa just likes to be hang out inside of things....

snack time inside the laundry baskets.

I hardly knew she was inside the bag, she was so quiet.

It's nice to see that someone else appreciates Crate and Barrel as much as I do!

a new use for a shopping basket?!?

And lastly, E loving her new table and chairs that were handed down to her...
(this was taken after climbing in and out of the chairs multiple times!)
