Football and dirty diapers

We took a trip this  weekend to Huntingdon to watch the Utah vs. BYU football game. We had fun wearing our our red and cheering on the Utes. Sadly the Utes lost in overtime but we think BYU just got very lucky.

It was a nail biter for E!

Elsa had a dirty diaper and she sat like this while we waited for Alex to get the diaper and wipes. We have a  very cooperative baby when it comes to getting her diaper changed!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving here in Pittsburgh with the DiPietro/Shepherd clan. We had great fun visiting and eating delicious food. Elsa got to meet lots of new family but she was a bit under the weather so we didn't get too many pictures.

This year we deep fried the turkey. It was a success- yummy turkey and nothing caught on fire! (Thanks Julia for letting us steal your pictures!)

Happy Birthday Jessie!

Happy 22nd Birthday to our sister Jessie! We found some fun pictures of her but of course you need to click to enlarge it, I am still not sure how to make it big in the first place!

Hope your day is great and lots of fun! Miss you and can't wait to see you at Christmas!

Elsa, the new conversationalist

Elsa loves to talk. She will have a pretty long conversation with anyone that will talk back to her!

Week 11

This week's pictures aren't the best. Our camera battery is about one picture from being completely dead and the charger is in a box somewhere in GG's basement.

We are getting pretty settled in Pittsburgh. It's been great being so close to our families. E got to meet her Great Grandma Pat and Great Grandpa Joe. Sadly I didn't take any pictures but will check to see if GG took any. Next week she gets to meet some more DiPietro family that are coming for Thanksgiving! Hopefully we will have found the camera charger by then.

Elsa and her new friend Laddie

We have discovered that E loves the TV. We were learning how to make gnocchi.

E got a big package from her Aunt Sally in California. She got all sorts of things for her crib. She loves her new bunny mobile.

We think E is going to be a side sleeper. You can really start to see her chubby cheeks here.

Visit to Huntingdon

We made it back east and boy were we all glad to be done with the drive. No more trailer to pull, crying baby or fast food! It was actually pretty easy for me. I got more sleep on that drive than I have had in quite a while! Alex was a champ to drive the van pulling the trailer the whole way and a big thanks to my dad for coming out and driving the Passat, it was super helpful!

Elsa and I ended up driving straight back with my dad since some of the DiPietros have been sick. E got to meet her Uncle Royce and Grandma Pam. She is having all sorts of fun and getting very spoiled! E is excited to finally meet Zorgon, Uncle Joe, Aunt Julia, Grams, and the rest of the family soon!

E got an early Christmas present and she LOVES it! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Week 9 and a previoulsy missed item

Elsa turns 9 weeks today while traveling through Nebraska and Iowa. Elsa has been a great baby with just a few meltdowns but that's expected. Who can blame her when she has to be in her car seat for 10 hours a day!

Thanks to GG for E's toys. They are being put to lots of use on this trip!

Starting to show signs of dad already (just kidding)!

Jess commented on the last post that I forgot to mention that we won't be seeing her, Tom, & Dulany much now that we will be on the East coast. I know she was kidding but Alex and I were talking about it and it's totally true. We're pretty sad that they wont be able to just crash in our little apartment when they come down to SLC. We can't wait for Christmas!

Happy Halloween!

We had our last hurrah with the Bridges at their annual Halloween party. It was a great way to spend our last weekend in Utah.

I'm a Christmas tree, Elsa is the present, and Alex is a Mexican

What would a Christmas present be without a tag and big bow!

We had to get a picture of Brandon as a werewolf, it was a pretty cool costume!

Elsa liked all the colors on Alex's sombrero...

and his mustache!

She was pretty tried out by the end. She sure did make a cute lil' Christmas gift!
