Lucy & Darcy

Lucy loves Darcy. 

 

Actually she just loves animals. 

My parents have two rambunctious young dogs that love to run, jump, lick, etc. While at my parents this past weekend, Alex would hold Lucy up on the gate  where the dogs were corralled and they would stop and stare at Lucy while she would babble to them and then run off. They only do this for her. She's a little dog whisperer! 

Anyways, back to Kitty Darcy. Lucy is the most talkative when Darcy walks past her or lays by her. She is her biggest motivation to become totally mobile. Darcy will lay by Lucy and let her grab her fur and touch her face and pull her tail. Darcy might squeak a little but she just lets Lucy do it and keeps coming back for more. Darcy asks for it most of the time by choosing to sit with Lucy instead of the other million places she could of chosen. We got so lucky with such a good kitty!

6 months

This chunky monkey of mine is 6 months and a whopping 20 pounds!

I thought E was a chunk at 6 months and she was only 17.

This is mostly for my own records but she:

• Can sit by herself
• Can roll both ways but will only flip from her belly to back if she reaaaly wants to
• Loves to blow raspberries
• Will lay on her back or tummy and scoot backwards to the other side of the room (ah, no more leaving little toys all over the place)
• Loves to lay on the ground and kick her legs against the floor or bed. This is usually how i know she is awake (sometimes it wakes us all up at 3 or 4am)
• Loves to splash in the bath tub- you get soaked
• Love to try to grab and eat whatever you are eating
• Is so picky about drinking her bottle. If were out all morning, she just wont eat. You wouldn't think that based on how big she is but I guess a little breastmilk goes a long way!
• Still wakes up every few hours at night 
• Doesn't like when she can't spot me. She has some major stranger danger and likes to see me or have me holding her a majority of the time.

 

 As you can see from this serious expression, she was done getting her picture taken!
