We watched about 5 minutes of the probowl last night and now Elsa's new word is Football! She was having all kinds of fun watching with Alex, then she realized we were recording her and she got a little distracted. I guess we can now start working on saying Steelers for the upcoming big game!

Broccoli
Elsa likes to sit on the counter with me and "help" with dinner. By help I mean, take all the utensils in and out of the canister. But as of the last few days she has been picking up whatever I have been preparing and eating it. Two days ago she picked up a piece of shredded chicken and ate it. She has always refused meats. Yesterday it was a whole piece of bread out of the bag while Alex was making breakfast.
Today it was broccoli. She has eaten some and gnawed on the stalk of some for a while. She is still playing beside me with a small florette. I think it just felt good on her gums....but anyway that gets her to eat more things is fine by me!

She was eying up that onion but I dont think I will let her go there yet!

A few randoms
This is what E looks like most days-She likes to climb the couch and look out the window and it does wonders to her hair!
We watched E's friend Chloe the other night. They both grabbed a remote control and walked around using them as phones to talk to each other. It was pretty funny!

Stuff
I think someone was really hungry..
or maybe just really curious.
The things I find her pushing around in her shopping cart
Alex and I joked around saying she looked like a clam had eaten her up.
and a little plug for a new favorite product of mine...
This thing works wonders. Elsa might not like it too much and yes, it does look kinda gross but it is amazing. I accredit the Nosefrida to E finally sleeping through her cold. Goodbye all bulb syringes!

Here We Go Steelers...
What a game! We had some family over to watch and
GG and Aunt Sally got to be at Heinz Field for all the excitement. We get to see Sally again next weekend when they go root the Steelers on versus the Jets!
E was all ready with her Steelers shirt and Terrible (toddler) Towel!
She has been a little under the weather but as soon as her Aunt Julia, Uncles Joe & Andrew, and Grandpa got there she was all smiles!
By the look on Alex's face, I think this must of been during one of those intense moments in the game.
When Elsa wanted to switch things up and take a break from the game and climbing all over Joe; she would do this:
one by one she would carry Alex's games and her DVD's to the trash can. We had to make a mental note to retrieve them after the game was over!
E was one tired girl by the end- she got some good one-on-one quality time with her aunt and uncle
Can't wait to do it all again next weekend!

coloring
We inherited a big stack of large newsprint when we bought this house. It is perfect for coloring on.
Then the moment came that I knew was coming....she tried to eat the crayon. When I told her no, this was her response...
But she quickly got over it and decided she could do all kinds of other things with crayons like drum with them, roll them in her hands,
put them on her head
make funny faces at them,
and concentrate really really hard to get the ends and points together.
She is still sitting her beside me playing/coloring. This might be the longest she has ever sat in her high chair!

Busy Baby
At church yesterday, we were sitting by two other families who had children the same age as Elsa. They were so quiet and still. I was amazed. E is one busy baby and we though it gets a little tricky at church, we love it and it always makes things more interesting.
Some things this busy baby has been up to...
For the past two days, I have to be careful to look in the trash before I throw something out. E was making several trips from the living room to the the playroom (or so I thought) and I caught her doing this...
Elsa finally found a hat that she can she can get on her head all by herself.
We spend lots of time just climbing up and down the stairs...who knew it could be so entertaining!
We scored an awesome play hut for Elsa. One of Julia's Friends handed it down to us.

She loves it..
as well as her ABC Abacus- she has apple down pat.
and her fascination with the bathroom continues. She now closes the door behind her.
We'll see what tomorrow brings...I am positive it will be totally different!
