Darcy

Darcy is such a good cat.
She can be crazy, but that is small price to pay for all she puts up with from the girls.

Lucy can't just play by Darcy, she has to put her toys on top of her.

When Lucy was sick and I would check her temperature, she just had to do the same to Darcy.

She's not exactly gentle about "snuggling" with her.

But then again, E isn't always so gentle either...

I start to feel really bad for Darcy and all the craziness she puts up with. But then she does this and I don't feel so bad anymore.

I am not of fan of the surprises she leaves for us at the door step

This and That

We had to thin out our carrots and E was pretty pleased to see that they were starting to turn orange.

 E on her "motorcycle"

getting creative on a rainy day

Lucy still loves Darcy the most. Out of all the words she can say now, she says Darcy the best!

July 4th over at Northumberland. I got some cute pictures sent to me since I was at Girl's Camp.

These pictures pretty much explain themselves...
E is a fan of sushi!

some after the 4th of July sparklers

If Lucy didn't try to eat the paint, throw the paint,  or paint her entire body, we would use it. But she does all that plus more, so she gets water. She's happy with it, though I can't wait for the day she actually wants to use crayons and paint on paper.
She's talented enough to paint with her mouth!

E said this was her doll church.

Darcy might be Lucy's first love but brushing her teeth come in a close second. Anytime she can get access to the step stool , she climbs up and will brush and brush.

This and That

(Elsa- 8 months)                                        (Lucy 9 months)

Both girls love to look at the cats out the door at my parents house. They were just kittens when E was that small. Lucy was wearing those jammies just earlier that morning. Thought this was a fun comparison.

Another one of E's masterpieces- a family. I especially love the glasses and the baby she drew!

E told us this play dough person was Uncle Royce and that he was a cowboy. Complete with a hat, boots, and belt!

 Cute E

Lucy devoured this cracker in about 10 seconds!

Elsa the reindeer

Lucy really likes this blinking snowman, but so far hasn't shown any interest in the tree. I am hopng we luck out and don't have to put the cage around it.

 Darcy likes the tree too

I knew that one day I would be glad I had a gazillion Christmas books. E is loving them all.

Her little nativity is still her favorite.

Will be fun to see how Darcy likes going out in the snow

Lucy & Darcy

Lucy loves Darcy.

Actually she just loves animals.
My parents have two rambunctious young dogs that love to run, jump, lick, etc. While at my parents this past weekend, Alex would hold Lucy up on the gate  where the dogs were corralled and they would stop and stare at Lucy while she would babble to them and then run off. They only do this for her. She's a little dog whisperer!

Anyways, back to Kitty Darcy. Lucy is the most talkative when Darcy walks past her or lays by her. She is her biggest motivation to become totally mobile. Darcy will lay by Lucy and let her grab her fur and touch her face and pull her tail. Darcy might squeak a little but she just lets Lucy do it and keeps coming back for more. Darcy asks for it most of the time by choosing to sit with Lucy instead of the other million places she could of chosen. We got so lucky with such a good kitty!

Here is a funny series of Lucy trying to get Kitty Darcy on Sunday morning before church....
(Lucy's expressions are pretty funny as well)

Darcy still sticks around even after the hair pull...

finally she decides she has had enough and goes for the get away!
