Never known someone who loves string cheese so much
and she finally fits this skirt that is size 6-12 months!

We had french drains put in the basement. There was so much water that they took 2 days to finish the job.

Couldn't believe how much water was already in the pump

Alex's work got a little torn apart so he will be back down there replacing the drywall and the tile.

We didn't have heat while they were working and the first day it was chilly!

We have spent most of our time outside. E loves the dirt.

I know it's a little early to pull out the pool but it was perfect for playing in.

No more blue- Horray!

Room #2 Finished....

Well, when I say we have finished the living room, I use the word finished  very lightly. It pretty much means we have painted, made the room livable again, and ready for furniture and all. We Finished the basement but still have to build the bookcase and finish a few other minor things. Now that the living room is done, we can work on actually having a place for people to hang their coats and sit and visit.

We have spent the last week going through the cycle of  caulking-taping-painting, caulking-taping-painting  some more, with lots of trips to Home Depot  in between (repeated at least 3 times).

I LOVE that the blue is gone. It looks bigger and much more open. We redid all the trim and molding and which made a world of a difference.

finding the right color was hard!

E being a good helper as usual!
(Don't mind her extremely orange face- we just finished having sweet potatoes for lunch)

A handy husband

Something that attracted us to this house was that the basement had a game room. Perfect for a mancave playroom! When we moved in we knew it needed some work. The previous owner built the walls way out, put down cheap icky carpet and it was this color (along with many other weird things).....

Sadly, we didn't take any before pictures, but this color doesnt belong in a small room in the basement.

Luckily, I have a smart and handy husband that gave this room a big makeover. He tore down the walls, re-framed them, put up new drywall, painted, put down new ceramic tile, and lots more. Here are some pictures:

We got most of what needed to be done in time for the game.  We brought down an extra couch and managed to make some end tables till we get some real ones. We even pulled out our Steelers Snuggie!
There is still some work to be done but it is turning out great. Alex did an awesome job!

Anyone out there that blogs a lot and posts lots of pictures: can you run out of storage room? Did you pay for more? It wont let me upload any saying I have used all my space. Once that is figured out, I will post Super Bowl pictures!
