Elsa May Turns 5!

Our Elsa May turned 5 and her birthday happened to fall on Labor Day this year.  It was fun to all be home from work and school and spend time together.

E requested we go out for breakfast so she could get smiley face chocolate chip pancakes.

Lucy had to get in on some of the birthday action!

Love how excited she was about her gifts.

This year Elsa really wanted a party with friends. She was easy to please, in that all she requested was cake, friends to play with, and a pinata!

We didn't to the pinata with a blindfold, which concerned Elsa, so she closed her eyes!

E's friend Lila finally broke it and decapitated our unicorn!

 Mad rush for the loot!

On Sunday we celebrated Andrew and Elsa's Birthday over at GG's

E blowing out the candles with Andrew makes me laugh every time!

Elsa got some pretty fun gifts from GG and Grandpa

Had to throw this picture in. I snapped it for Alex one afternoon. The girls were being super goofy in Elsa's new dress up clothes!

Lucy Girl Turns 2!

I am really behind on this blog. So, I managed to finally get out two new blog posts. Be sure to check out the one below this one. It has some pretty classic videos of the girls!

My Lucy girl turned 2 in the beginning of February. It was pretty low key but lots of fun.

Lucy loves balloons, so they were a must have.

We got some ones that glow in the dark
( I obviously didn't have right setting on my camera)

her favorite thing to do with the balloons might have been to sit on them.

This pop up toy is probably a little young for her but she loves it. She tries to see how fast she can pop them down and then toggle them back up.

We got her a cozy coupe. Her reaction at the 30 second mark of this video is pretty funny.

She was sure since the car didn't move on it's own the it was "broken"

We had cake over at GG's/Grandpa's House. Lucy loves blowing out the candles!

Huntingdon

Right after E's birthday, we took a trip to Huntingdon to see Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Royce. E had requested two things for her birthday, they were for grandpa to take her fishing and to go back to the caterpillar rollar coaster (Del Grosso's amusement park).

When we got there, they had a surprise birthday gift waiting for Elsa.

 A bike!

She was so excited but a little weary about it being "tall and wobbly"

Lucy couldn't miss out on the bike riding action!

Lucy loves those dogs (and their water).

Grandpa took us all fishing at Raystown Lake.
 E was so excited

 Throwing sticks into the lake

Getting all ready.

My siblings might remember this fishing pole. It's like 20 years old at least, but the perfect size for E.

Of course I should of figured (and prepared better) that the girls would just want to play in the water and not really fish...

There were lots of little minnows and small fish for the girls to try and catch.

Grandpa and Alex caught some fish
Lucy was obsessed with sticking her fingers down the throats of all the fish...

This was one instance I was happy that she had her paci in. Otherwise, I am sure lots of gross things would of been in her mouth.

 She also loved the bait!

I finally took Lucy up to the car to get some dry clothes on while E continued to wade in the water.
A few people out walking would stop and comment about the "girl down in the water."

Lucy girl dancing while we waited for the others....

Alex caught a big fat toad. The girls thought it was pretty cool.
