I wish I knew what Elsa was saying when telling me about her drawings, because she had quite a story to go along with these pictures. All I got out of her talking a million miles a minute where whale, big, and small.
It looks like she's drawing story maps. Every little squiggle is attached to another by a long line - where maybe the whale is swimming to a new adventure (the next squiggle). Julia used to draw like this.
