Wow, week 50 already?!?
Hard to believe she will be a year old in less than 2 weeks.
This week brought two things....
Hard to believe she will be a year old in less than 2 weeks.
This week brought two things....
1. We had a breakthrough yesteray.
E finally picked up her sippy cup and drank from it.
Yes, this has been a struggle.
She usually picks it up and throws it on the floor.
Will it happen again, probably not, but I can always hope.
2. Now on to the next battle....eating.
She had finally started to eat a lot better. But as of the last few days she refuses to let me feed her anything. She wants to feed herself, which is great, but she only has about 3 bites and plays with the rest. I've been trying to cut her bottles down so she is hungry but it has resulted in her waking up at night hungry.
So, meals take a loooong time and we dont get much out of them (besides a still hungry and messy child). I can't lie- I am getting a little stressed about getting her off the bottle and getting enough food into her through out the day. Let's all hope this is just a little phase she is going through that passes quickly!

Kudos to Elsa! When JM was looking at her pictures on here he said "Baaaayyyyyyy-beeeeeeee!" Keep up the sippy success, Elsa babe!
oh man that first picture looks a LOT like dulany! i had to do a double take!
I forgot to tell you this afternoon that Elsa picked up one of Julia's skinny headbands yesterday and started sucking on one of the ends - like it was a straw...
You can't really tell me she doesn't eat. Look at that cutie! Brooks was really fussy and picky when he started insisting on feeding himself. I found that if I put food on the tray and left him alone (I'd read around the corner or something) he's eventually start eating what was on his tray after playing with it forever. Brooks has been drinking from a cup/sippy for a long time now, but never in very substantial amounts at meal times. He finally drank 12oz!!! of water at dinner last night! It just takes time. Don't stress too much. He gets an occasional bottle and he's good.
