Sunny days and Sleepy Lucy

Elsa might not like it one bit when her food makes a mess and gets all over her but obviously the dirt doesn't bother her one bit!

 Lucy is starting to smile and even give a few chuckles. Of course it's always hard to capture it on camera. This was during our attempt this morning.

 Lucy was getting squirmy, so I tried to get her to wake up to eat and then come out to enjoy the sunshine with me and Elsa....

E drew this today and then spent some time describing it to me. She hasn't quite made up her mind who it is. When I asked her, she said it was  a picture of me, then changed her mind to it being  GG, and then it was a curly hair girl. I thought it was a picture of Darcy since  it looked like it had whiskers and the ears where on top of the head.  Nevertheless, I am still pretty impressed with her drawing skills. She seems to have gotten all the major body/face parts down.

Lucy's Blessing

Remember this post from when E was blessed?  Lucy is now be the 9th baby to wear the dress.

Elsa was so happy to have Uncle Royce and Grandpa here for a day. It was not a pretty sight when they left.

E's favorite time to play with Lucy is when she is asleep and I'm finally able to put her down. Usually by this point, she has fussed herself into a deep sleep so Elsa can "play" with her and not disturb her too much.

Today Lucy was lucky enough to be Elsa's patient....

(don't mind the undies...we're in the midst of potty training)

On a side note:

A friend of mine from college just had a baby boy a few days after I had Lucy. Today, I read this on her blog. It pretty much sums up what I have been thinking/feeling. Nice to know someone else out there is up at midnight (and possibly the rest of the night) having the same thoughts as me!
