Grateful

A few weeks ago, I taught the young women at church (click here to learn more) about gratitude. We watched two short clips from two of my favorite apostles.  I gave each girl a journal and challenged them to write in it daily.

I asked them to do as Elder Eyring did, which was to look back at your day and look for the Lord's hand in your life. He said at one point that trying to remember, had allowed God to show him what was done for him.

I also asked them to do as  Elder Bednar stated, to see the tender mercies that have occurred, not by chance, but for specific reasons, just for them.

I think everyone should watch these short messages, they are awesome.

I figured I cannot expect them to do this and not participate myself. So I hope to use my blog to share those things I am grateful for and have been so blessed with for the month of November.

So with today being November 1st,

I am grateful that I have the ability to capture the everyday happenings of my life. I take a lot of pictures, and often times they are the ordinary moments, but I love that I can look back at what my days are like with my family. And really, life with Alex, E and Lucy, make for some pretty sweet memories.
