E was once called Squeakarella and I think L will take on the name Crankarella.
I know it's hard to tell from all the smiley pictures I post to think she could ever be cranky but boy, she gives me a run for my money.
In the past two months we have tried a little of everything and nothing really has helped her hours of screaming. After feeling like I was being a hypochondriac for my child, I just had to realize that there isn't anything really wrong with Lucy- this is just how Lucy is at the moment and it won't last forever!.The doctors do say it's probably just colic. I looked at the symptoms for colic and she is pretty much your textbook colicky baby. She has these three down to a T:
1. A child who cries for more than 3 hours a day, for more than 3 days a week, for over 3 weeks,
2. Gassy
3. Needs to be
Her pediatrician said it would peek around 6-8 weeks and I would say just shy of 8 weeks, it definitely peeked! But with week 8 here and almost gone, I can start to hope that we are getting over the hump and can see some faint light at the end of this looong tunnel.
I am so grateful for the times when she is happy and smiling. Those are the moments that make the screaming and sleepless nights on the couch bearable. Lucy, under all that fussing, is really the sweetest little 2 month old around! And though I'm eager for her to grow out of this phase, I really am sad to see how fast she is growing.
E loves her little sister too!
